Pinot Noir Sangiacomo Vineyard (2006) This is our sixth year creation of this exquisite wine, where each of the 4 clones were separately processed with wild yeast primary and malolactic fermentations to bone dryness. Aging for 10 months in 100% French oak barrels (40% new) with lies stirring was followed by judicious blending, before unfined and unfiltered bottling. It is wild cacophony of dark plum and black cherry framed by smoky, feral notes around the edges of a core of tropical and dark fruits. This theme continues on the palate with dark rich fruits and sweet tannins, well balanced by nice acidity and a long rich finish. 13.3% alcohol |
